Meet Dr. Tara Firouzi

Aside from practicing dentistry in her community, Dr. Firouzi is passionate about providing dental care to underserved people. She began her journey to do just that by treating underserved people in 2017 at the Detroit Medical Center Hospital part-time and attending a mission trip to Jamaica that same year. She plans to organize and participate in more such programs locally and globally to continue to give back what she has earned in life.

She loves to learn about different cultures, languages, and people’s different perspectives in life, which allows her to enjoy a unique relationship with her patients.

Dr. Firouzi also has a passion for art and sports. She plays a handpan and does yoga in her free time. She has been advancing in skiing and hiking for the past few years and has recently taken pottery classes where she enjoys working with her hands in a different way than in dentistry.
